Advancing to Bear

Each scout can choose which 12 of the 24 achievements to earn to complete Bear.  Some achievements will be done at den meetings and some as homework.  To keep it simple, I'll recommend a set of 12 to complete, but feel free to substitute if that works better for you.  Extra achievements completed count as electives towards arrowheads.

Requirements:
God: Do 1 of (1 to 2)
Country: Do 3 of (3 to 7)
Family: Do 4 of (8 to 13)
Self: Do 4 of (14 to 24)

Belt Loops

We'll work on some belt loop award in den meetings, especially starting in the Spring.  Some can also be earned at home, school, or with other organizations.  The belt loops are part of the Cub Scout Sports and Academics Program.  If you have completed the requirements for an award, please let me know the Friday before a Pack Meeting, so I can order the award to present at the following den meeting.

Pack Meeting Location

Picture
Pack Meetings are at St. Mike’s in one of two places.
1) Parish Center Gym.  Use the door indicated to the left.
2) Blue and Gold Room in the school. Use door as indicated to the left, and go downstairs.

We don’t always know which room we’ll be in until the last minute.  Check the Parish Center first, and in general follow other cub scouts.
