WHAT A GREAT RACE!!!
We had a great turnout on Saturday, January 29 for our annual pack Pinewood Derby. A shout out to all of our scouts who worked so hard to make such special and unique cars! Congratulations to all! A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Will Felter for leading this event and to all of those who volunteered their time to make it so successful. Without wonderfully dedicated parents, this event would not be so great!!!! The results from the race are posted on the pack website. The Crosswinds District race is on March 12 at Cary Town Center. For those scouts who qualified to enter the district competition, check the website for the schedule and district rules. http://pack216.cary.nc.us/pinewood-derby.html

Many hands make light work!!!! Giving BACK to the PACK!!
What makes our pack GREAT?! Well first the scouts of course! Who is behind every GREAT scout???? GREAT PARENTS!!! The pack relies upon on the efforts of many adult volunteers to develop and run the Pack. More than a third of all families have at least one adult serving in a full time role as Den Leaders, Assistants, or members of the Pack Committee. Not everyone needs to be a uniformed leader to help out. From time to time, we also need adults to help plan or assist with specific pack activities. Won't you consider giving back to the pack? My personal guarantee is that you will receive more than give! The smile on Scouts faces is worth every bit of work!
We have an immediate need for a 2011-2012 Membership Chairperson. This job is very flexible in that you pretty much can do it all on your schedule. Contact Mike Lopez at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information on this or other opportunities to volunteer.
As always find the latest Pack information on the web at http://pack216.cary.nc.us. Hopefully you're also signed up to receive pack news through e-mail, if not there is a sign-up form on the website.
