Location: Eno River State Park (Address: 6101 Cole Mill Rd, Durham, NC 27705)

Meeting Place: Fews Ford Picnic Area (off of Cole Mill Road)
Parking: There is parking at the Fews Ford Picnic Area.
Uniform: Class B
Gear: Bring Cub Scout 6 essentials, check the weather and dress appropriately; Bring your hiking stick if you have one.
Difficulty: The trail climbs 270 feet in elevation from the river to the hilltop. A long steep climb and descent is required.

Access to Park: The five access areas may be reached from I-85 by exit 173 Cole Mill Road or exit 170 U.S. 70 West.
Cox Mountain Hike Overview: Begin this hike in the Fews Ford picnic area. It is a 3.75-mile loop. The trail passes beside the picnic area, heads down to the river and crosses the river on a suspension footbridge. The trail climbs 270 feet in elevation from the river to the hilltop. A long steep climb and descent is required.
