Thanksgiving Baskets

It’s time again for Thanksgiving Baskets!
Each year we go to St. Michael’s to help collect and sort food donated by parishioners, as well as to prepare and decorate the boxes the meals will go in. These boxes will go to those who may not otherwise have all the wonderful foods of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Meet at the Parish Center (where we have our Pack Meetings) and Jim Bishop will give our directions on where we need to be located and help.
We will be helping at the beginning of mass to help carry over the donated food from the church to the Parish Center. Once all food is brought over we will sort the food into products. When that is complete each Scout will be asked to assemble one box.
As parishioners come into the Saturday, 5pm mass, the scouts will help to collect food donations at the church entrances (outside the Church building) and cart them to the Parish Center. After Mass begins, scouts will help sort food and put the boxes together in the Parish Center. They only need 10 scouts (with no more than one parent each), so hurry and sign up so you don’t miss out on the privilege of serving others!
