Apex Christmas Parade
The annual Apex Christmas Parade is sponsored by the Apex Rotary. This is a great parade that begins just as sunlight begins to fade and many of the bands/floats/firetrucks are adorned in Christmas lights.
Date: Saturday, December 6, 2014
Time: Meet at 4:00pm-4:15pm to start to line-up
Parade starts at 5:00pm
Where: Downtown Apex
We will meet at TBD location between 4:00 PM and 4:15 PM. After the parade, Scouts will be picked up at TBD. (We will provide additional information around Thanksgiving once received from Apex Rotary so stay tuned!)
Uniform: Full Class A – Blue Uniform Shirt, Dark Blue Pants, Neckerchief, and Scout Belt. All must be in good repair and looking neat as we are representing Scouting to the area. Santa Hats, Antlers, and other Xmas Headgear, (and even light-up ones!), are optional but encouraged.
Scouts will be given red glow sticks and green glow necklaces.
Route: The parade begins in the Villages of Apex and then proceeds south on Salem Street. A map of the route will be added to the Apex Rotary website (http://apexrotary.org/2013-annual-apex-rotary-christmas-parade/) closer to Thanksgiving.
Who: Everyone: Scouts, Uniformed Leaders, Parents, and Siblings. Parents who choose not to walk with their scouts should identify an adult who will be responsible for them during the parade and return them afterwards.
